I have been a bit slack on updating my blogs recently, but I have my reasons.
Work is all over the place and I'm still currently having a hard time with the boss. Plus college is still taking up a large amount of my spare time - never even have time to do my homework now! And then there is the small matter of me being ill for the last 4 weeks. Ugh.
Once Christmas presents are bought and on their way to me and I've given out ideas to my family who are pestering me I hope to be back. I'm off from work next week too so that should help, plus I'm going party dress shopping on Friday so I may have something to show you then.
Sorry... x

101 in 1001
Having just gone through my 70+ new blog posts from you lovely lot to read, I came across the 101 in 1001 days on Catanya's Things, which reminded me that on my other blog I had actually started this up and am still currently working on it.
Now, I haven't completely stopped writing entries over there, it's more just relief from daily turmoil etc, while I use this as blog as more of a creative outlet and to immerse myself in all things beauty and make up related. Something that makes me feel at home and happy.
So because I've thought about it for a few minutes now, I'm going to add on my own list here, transferred from my other blog and I will continue with it. Just let me know, if you'd prefer not to hear about my little accomplishments. I have to warn you now, it's not all beauty related!
Does anyone else have a list going?

EOTD - Purples
Just a quick look at the make up I've been wearing today. I was feeling in a bit of a purple mood so threw on my huge purple NYC hoodie and my jeggings and thought I'd liven up my outfit with some purple on my eyes.
Nothing dramatic and nothing special, but just a quick peek into what I looked like today.
This was quick and easy to do.
I mosturised my face, then used my concealer to help disguise those dark circles under my eyes. I applied my new Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid foundation and patted on a little powder to help keep my foundation on.
My eyes were done using the Collection 2000 Angelic Eyes palette which I recently bought. I used the silver as an all over colour up to my brow for a highlight. I then covered my lid with the lighter purple and concentrated the darker purple within my crease and outer lid. I curled my lashes and tried out the MeMeMe Fat Cat Lashes mascara, which I was very pleasantly surprised with, and on my lips I applied my new Barry M Glossy Tubes Lip Gloss.
All products mentioned are my items I picked up in my last (and very large) haul!
Now all I need to do is work on those lines and circles under my eyes. Eek! Any ideas?

NOTD - Sleek: Oxford
As I said, I've been off ill today with some kind of cold. My throat is absolutely killing me, feels like it's swollen and I'm finding it hard to swallow. Other than that I'm all fine and dandy.
I thought I'd treat myself to a little polish on my nails mainly because I've not painted them for a week as I was letting the recover from college.
This is Oxford (10) by Sleek and I'm loving the colour. Application however was a little streaky, you need to have a large amount of colour on the brush so you don't drag what's already been applied.
I'm aware my application isn't the best but I'm still feeling a little shakey from the flu.
This is two coats of the polish and I think this has turned out pretty good. There is a slight shimmer to it, but it doesn't detract away from the stunning blue or the fact that this is a gorgeous Autumn/Winter colour.
And a final shot so you can see all the bluey glittery combo. Remember my cuticles are still recovering from being ravaged at college and are a lot better now than they were a week ago. Time will heal them.
For my base coat I used OPI Nail Envy and I then applied Leighton Denny's Crystal Finish top coat to create a more glossy appearance.
Fab!

Adorning Wordle
Playing around on my computer, and I thought I'd have a go with wordle and my blog. I'm off ill again, with a cold this time, and was getting bored until I realised I could play with the pink colours and fonts with this.
Giles Deacon Scarf for Cadbury
I think everyone by now knows about the Giles Deacon scarf designed for Cadburys Nibbles, where you got the opportunity to try and bag yourself a free scarf from one of many pop-up shops dotted around blogs, shops and MSN over a couple of days.
I managed to grab one for myself which arrived a couple of days ago, but I haven't had time to post about it due to college and one thing and another.
Before I go on, I will openly admit this post being self-indulgent and just to show off what I won!
But here you go, here it is.
I love it! It's actually full size and fabulous, it's soft and warm and not something you would usually get as a freebie.
If you didn't manage to get a limited edition scarf from the 1400 being given away free, you can always pick one up in John Lewis for £15, where proceeds are going to charity.

Truth Is In The Toes!
Last night at college I was given The Nail File newspaper and I saw an article about foot reading and how it is just not limited to the colour shape and structure of toes, but that your choice of nail varnish also speaks volumes! I think this interested me because we've literally just started doing pedicures at college so seeing what people choose to have on the toesies will tell us a lot about them.
I thought I'd share it with you:
Red
Red on the toenails represents someone who is ambitious or who wants strength and courage. Wear it when you feel tired or need extra energy. But as it is often associated with anger, don't wear it when you need to keep calm! Be careful what you team it up with - if you wear it to excess it can encourage excessive spending, a resistance to change and workaholic tendancies!
Orange
Painting toenails orange signifies that you want to attract more fun and celebration into your life. It's the colour of excitement, playfulness and joy. Wear it when you want to be the life and soul of the party. Beware! Worn to excess in your clothing, orange can encourage addiction to stimulants, excessive mood swings and obsessive attachments.
Yellow
Yellow toenail varnish indicates alertness and optimism; someone who is bright, quick and full of curiosity. Wear it in small doses when you need to concentrate or when you need cheering up. Worn to excess yellow can encourage hyperactivity and stubborness.
Green
Green toenail colour indicates someone who wants to attract more calmness, tranquillity and harmony into their life. Wear it when you are feeling stressed or nervous about a situation, but worn in excess green indicates jealousy, being a marytr and a pleaser.
Indigo
Wear it when you want to achieve something difficult. This is the 'just do it' colour. The person who wears this colour wants the determination to succeed. Worn to excess you have a difficulty concentrating.
Turquoise
This colour represents someone who vaules independence and freedom. Wear it when you need inner confidence to succeed at something. However, wear it to excess and it indicates being selfish, unrealiable, tactless and off-hand.
Blue
Blue is the colour for peace, integrity and honesty. Wear it when you need to speak up for yourself and keep your cool. Wear it to excess and it indicates you talk or gossip too much!
Black
Black is often associated with mystery and potential. Wear it when you need to stand on your own two feet (pardon the pun!) and face your fears, or to protect you from negative energy.

Magenta
Magenta on the nails represents someone who wants to draw more nuturing or compassion into their lives. This colour is often seen on people who are depressed (but it doesn't mean you are depressed, rather it helps you to feel better about yourself). Wear it when you need to be organised, helpful or feel better about yourself. Worn to excess you have someone who thinks the grass is always greener on the other side or the past was always better.Pink
Pink on the toenails represents someone who wants to attract more love and affection into their life. Wear it when you want to feel loved, warm and protected. Wear it to excess and it indicates self-absorption or a fan of Barbie or Barbara Cartland!Black

Worn on the toenails it indicates someone who is going through a period of reflection, trying to understand their feelings. Wear it when you need to resolve emotional disputes and stay calm.
